Meet Credence Snow, the graphic designer and artist behind Angry Gay Designs, where gay culture, sexuality, anime, fantasy, horror, questionable humor and spontaneous creative impulses get turned into things you can actually wear.
In simpler terms: I turn horny energy into art.

About the designer
Gay, weird, creative and making stuff about it.
I’m Credence Snow, although people occasionally call me Creed. I’m the artist and graphic designer behind Angry Gay Designs, a clothing and art brand built around queer humor, sexuality, personality and the wonderfully strange things that bounce around inside my head.
A lot of my creativity comes directly from being gay. The jokes, attraction, ridiculous conversations, male body, dating culture, sex, confidence, awkwardness and everything else that comes with existing loudly as yourself all give me material.
Sometimes that inspiration becomes something beautiful. Sometimes it becomes something completely inappropriate for a family reunion.
I also pull heavily from anime, fantasy, horror movies, comedy and pop culture. My favorite anime growing up was Digimon, which probably explains at least part of my lifelong need to make everything slightly more dramatic, colorful and fantastical than necessary.
I don’t usually sit around waiting for the perfect creative concept. If something makes me laugh, turns me on, pisses me off or sparks an image in my brain, I want to make it right then.
Angry Gay Designs is basically where all of those impulses go to become art.

Angry Gay Designs lives somewhere between queer culture, dirty jokes, fantasy worlds, childhood obsessions and whatever ridiculous thought happens to attack me that day.

Anime & Fantasy
Digimon was an early favorite, but the bigger influence is the imagination behind anime, monsters, powers, fantasy worlds and over-the-top visual storytelling.

Horror
I love horror movies. Monsters, gore, suspense, camp, supernatural weirdness and beautifully terrible decisions all have a place in my creative brain.

Comedy & Chaos
Some designs exist because they have a deep artistic meaning. Others exist because I thought of something stupid and laughed hard enough that it had to become a shirt.
From the mountains to Florida
A little bit of the Credence Snow origin story.
Born in Tennessee. Currently creating in Florida.
I was born in Tennessee and have managed to bounce around a pretty decent chunk of the eastern United States before eventually landing in Florida.

I’ve also had the opportunity to travel outside the United States, including a trip to Japan, which, as a lifelong anime-loving artist, was pretty damn cool.

I speak mostly terrible English and somehow even

Inspiration does not make appointments. I tend to
create things immediately when an idea hits.
Favorite childhood anime
Digimon. Yes, I still know the theme song has
absolutely no business going that hard.
Preferred movie genre
Horror. The creepier, stranger, more supernatural
or completely unhinged, the better.

Yes, we are discussing this
I wasn’t joking about turning horny energy into art.
Sexuality is part of my creative language. I think the male body is beautiful, funny, sexy and incredibly interesting from an artistic perspective. Penises are cute. Holes are pretty. Men provide inspiration.
That inspiration eventually gets filtered through my brain and comes back out as illustrations, jokes, designs and apparel.
My preferences are best described as “creative.” I’m not interested in pretending sexuality and art live in completely separate universes, because for me they definitely don’t.
Also, since apparently this is now part of my official artist biography: yes, my bootyhole is pink. You’re welcome for that critically important piece of design history.
